BTCUSD Support and Resistance: Bitcoin Rally Meets Its Next Hurdle

BTCUSD | Technical Outlook

BTCUSD Support and Resistance: Market Structure

The BTCUSD is currently trading around $76,900, with the BTCUSD Support and Resistance structure showing strong bullish momentum following an aggressive breakout from the $63,000 – $65,000 consolidation range.

The Daily chart shows Bitcoin accelerating sharply higher and reaching a major historical resistance area around $76,500 – $79,500. On H4, the move remains decisively bullish, with price trading well above rising moving averages after forming a clear sequence of higher highs and higher lows.

However, the lower timeframes reveal the first meaningful reaction to the rally. BTCUSD briefly surged toward $79,300 – $79,500 before sellers stepped in, pushing price back below $77,000. This rejection suggests that short-term momentum is cooling as Bitcoin tests an important higher-timeframe supply zone.

Key Resistance Zone

Immediate resistance is located at $78,500 – $79,500, supported by:

  • Recent H1 and H4 swing highs
  • Daily supply and previous price reaction area
  • Liquidity above the latest high
  • Psychological $80,000 level just above the zone

A confirmed breakout above this region could expose:

  • $80,000
  • $82,000 – $83,000

A sustained move above $80,000 would strengthen the bullish continuation scenario and signal that buyers have successfully absorbed selling pressure around the current resistance.

Key Support Zone

Immediate support is located around $76,000 – $75,000, where the latest breakout and short-term price structure could attract renewed demand.

If this zone fails, the next areas to monitor are:

  • $73,500 – $72,000
  • $70,000 – $69,000 as a stronger H4 support region

Holding above $75,000 would keep the immediate bullish structure intact. A sustained move below $72,000, however, would suggest that the current pullback is developing into a broader correction.

BTCUSD Support and Resistance: Expectations

Bullish Scenario (Primary)

The broader bullish scenario remains favored while BTCUSD holds above the recent breakout structure.

If buyers successfully defend $75,000 – $76,000, price could attempt to challenge the recent high again.

A confirmed breakout above $79,500 could trigger:

  • A move through the psychological $80,000 level
  • Further upside toward $82,000 – $83,000

The H1 and H4 moving averages remain positively aligned, supporting the broader bullish momentum despite the latest pullback.

Bearish Scenario (Alternative)

The rejection from approximately $79,500 shows that sellers are active around the current resistance area.

Failure to reclaim $78,500 – $79,500 could lead to:

  • A retest of $76,000 – $75,000
  • A deeper correction toward $73,500 – $72,000

A sustained break below $72,000 would weaken the short-term bullish structure and increase the probability of a broader retracement toward $70,000 – $69,000.

Outlook

BTCUSD remains strongly bullish on the H1 and H4 timeframes, while the Daily chart shows price confronting a significant resistance area after one of its strongest recent advances.

The key battle is now between $75,000 – $76,000 support and $78,500 – $79,500 resistance. A successful break above the recent high would put $80,000 in focus and could unlock another bullish extension toward $82,000 – $83,000.

For now, the rejection from the highs warrants some caution. As long as Bitcoin holds above $75,000, however, the current weakness can still be treated as a corrective pullback within the broader bullish move.
