EURUSD Momentum Outlook: Market Structure
The EURUSD Momentum Outlook remains cautiously bullish as EURUSD trades around 1.1550, consolidating after a strong upward move that pushed price toward the 1.1570 – 1.1580 region before short-term selling pressure emerged. Price previously accelerated from the 1.1510 – 1.1520 area, but the latest intraday pullback has brought the pair back toward a key breakout and pivot zone.
The recovery from the 1.1370 – 1.1400 region toward current levels reflects strong bullish momentum on the H4 timeframe, with price maintaining a broader sequence of higher lows and trading above its medium-term moving averages. However, M15 momentum has turned bearish below the short-term averages, while the daily chart shows EURUSD testing an important resistance region following its sharp recovery from the late-July lows.
Key Resistance Zone
Immediate resistance is located at 1.1565 – 1.1580, supported by:
- Recent H1 and H4 swing highs
- Latest intraday rejection area
- Daily resistance near recent recovery highs
A breakout above this zone could lead to:
- 1.1600
- 1.1650 (next major resistance level)
As long as price remains below 1.1580, upside continuation may remain capped by short-term selling pressure.
Key Support Zone
Immediate support is seen at 1.1540 – 1.1520, where price is approaching the recent breakout area and H1 moving-average support.
A breakdown below this zone would expose:
- 1.1500
- 1.1460 – 1.1470 (key H4 support zone)
A sustained move below 1.1460 would weaken the bullish structure and increase the probability of a deeper corrective move.
EURUSD Momentum Outlook: Expectations
Bullish Scenario (Primary)
If price holds above 1.1520, buyers may attempt to regain short-term control and resume the broader recovery.
A breakout above 1.1580 could trigger:
- A move toward 1.1600
- Extension toward 1.1650
Momentum remains supported by the broader H4 recovery and the positively aligned medium-term moving averages beneath price.
Bearish Scenario (Alternative)
Failure to hold the 1.1540 – 1.1520 support zone could allow the current intraday correction to extend.
This could result in:
- A move toward 1.1500
- A deeper decline toward 1.1460 – 1.1470
A sustained break below 1.1460 would significantly weaken the recovery and shift the near-term outlook toward a broader corrective phase.
Outlook
EURUSD maintains a constructive higher-timeframe outlook following its strong rebound from the late-July lows, but short-term momentum has weakened as price retreats from the 1.1565 – 1.1580 resistance region. The market is currently at an important decision point, with 1.1520 acting as a key level for preserving the recent bullish momentum.
A confirmed breakout above 1.1580 would strengthen the EURUSD Momentum Outlook and could open the path toward 1.1600 and 1.1650. Conversely, losing 1.1520 would increase the risk of a corrective decline toward 1.1500 and potentially 1.1460 – 1.1470 before buyers attempt to regain control.
