NASDAQ 100 Price Target: Will 28,750 Hold or Trigger a Deeper Drop?

NASDAQ 100 Price Target: Will 28,750 Hold or Trigger a Deeper Drop?

NASDAQ 100 | Technical Outlook

NASDAQ 100 Price Target: Market Structure

The NASDAQ 100 is currently trading around 28,920, with the NASDAQ 100 Price Target outlook turning increasingly cautious after the index extended its decline from the 29,400 – 29,500 region. Selling pressure has pushed price beneath the short-term moving averages, while the latest M15 rebound from around 28,800 has so far produced only a limited recovery.

The H1 chart maintains a clear short-term bearish structure, characterized by lower highs and lower lows. On H4, the index has also broken beneath the 29,000 – 29,100 region, placing an important support area under pressure. The Daily chart adds to the cautious picture, with price slipping below its recent consolidation range and testing levels not seen since the late-July recovery.

Key Resistance Zone

Immediate resistance is located around 29,000 – 29,150, supported by:

  • The recently broken H1/H4 support area
  • Short-term moving-average resistance
  • The psychological 29,000 level

A confirmed recovery above this zone could open the way toward:

  • 29,300 – 29,450
  • 29,600
  • 29,900 – 30,000

However, as long as the index remains below 29,150, rebounds may continue to face selling pressure.

Key Support Zone

Immediate support is located around 28,750 – 28,850, where buyers have started responding following the latest decline.

A sustained break below this zone could expose:

  • 28,500 – 28,350
  • 28,000
  • 27,700 – 27,800

The 28,000 region is particularly important from a broader technical perspective. Losing this area would strengthen the bearish structure and increase the risk of a deeper correction.

NASDAQ 100 Price Target: Expectations

Bearish Scenario (Primary)

If the NASDAQ 100 remains below 29,000 – 29,150, sellers could retain short-term control.

A confirmed break below 28,750 could trigger:

  • A decline toward 28,500 – 28,350
  • Extension toward 28,000
  • A deeper move toward 27,700 – 27,800 if selling accelerates

The bearish scenario remains supported by the H1 and H4 lower-high structure and price trading beneath the key short-term moving averages.

Bullish Scenario (Alternative)

If buyers successfully defend 28,750 – 28,850, the current rebound could develop into a broader recovery.

A sustained move back above 29,150 could target:

  • 29,300 – 29,450
  • 29,600
  • 29,900 – 30,000

A recovery above 29,450 – 29,600 would provide stronger evidence that the recent breakdown is losing momentum.

Outlook

The NASDAQ 100 Price Target outlook currently favors caution as the index tests a significant support region following a sharp short-term decline. The broader Daily picture remains more range-bound than decisively bearish, but H1 and H4 momentum currently favors sellers.

The 28,750 – 28,850 zone is now the immediate downside decision area. Holding it could support a corrective rebound toward 29,150 and 29,450, while a confirmed breakdown would shift attention toward 28,500 and potentially the major 28,000 region.
