NASDAQ 100 | Technical Outlook
NASDAQ 100 Trading: Market Structure
The NASDAQ 100 Trading is currently centered around the 29,550 – 29,600 region, with the index consolidating after extending its recovery from the recent 28,900 – 29,100 support area.
The Daily chart shows that the broader market remains in a wide consolidation following the strong advance earlier this year. Price has recovered from the late-July decline and is now attempting to stabilize above the 29,400 – 29,500 pivot area.
On H4, the recovery is more constructive. NASDAQ 100 has formed higher lows from the 28,900 region and moved back above its short- and medium-term moving averages. However, momentum has slowed around 29,600 – 29,700, making this area important for the next directional move.
H1 and M15 show tighter consolidation near 29,550, with buyers maintaining recent gains but struggling to generate a decisive breakout
Key Resistance Zone
Immediate resistance is located around 29,650 – 29,700, supported by:
- Recent H4 recovery highs
- Short-term H1 rejection area
- Nearby liquidity above recent intraday highs
A confirmed breakout above this zone could open the way toward:
- 29,900 – 30,000
- 30,250 – 30,300
The 30,000 psychological level remains particularly important, as previous price action shows significant supply around and above this region.
Key Support Zone
Immediate support is located around 29,400 – 29,250, where the recent breakout and H1 moving-average cluster provide potential demand.
A break below this area could expose:
- 29,000 – 28,900
- 28,600 – 28,400
The 28,900 region remains a particularly important H4 swing support. A sustained move below it would weaken the current recovery and increase the probability of a deeper bearish correction.
NASDAQ 100 Trading Expectations
Bullish Scenario (Primary)
As long as NASDAQ 100 remains above 29,250 – 29,400, the recent recovery retains a constructive bias.
A confirmed break above 29,700 could trigger:
- An advance toward 29,900 – 30,000
- Further upside toward 30,250 – 30,300
Holding above the rising H4 moving averages would add confirmation that buyers are maintaining control of the recovery.
Bearish Scenario (Alternative)
Failure to clear 29,650 – 29,700 could keep the index trapped in consolidation and expose it to another pullback.
A break below 29,250 could lead to:
- A retest of 29,000 – 28,900
- A deeper correction toward 28,600 – 28,400
A sustained H4 breakdown below 28,900 would materially weaken the bullish recovery scenario.
Outlook
NASDAQ 100 is showing improving short-term momentum, but the index has reached an area where buyers need to prove they can extend the recovery. The Daily chart remains broadly range-bound, while H4 favors buyers as long as the recent sequence of higher lows remains intact.
The 29,650 – 29,700 region is now the key upside trigger. Breaking through it would strengthen the case for a move back toward 30,000, while rejection followed by a loss of 29,250 would shift attention back toward the lower support zones.
