XAUUSD Trading Levels: Can Gold Break Above $4,380?

XAUUSD | Technical Outlook

XAUUSD Trading Levels: Market Structure

The XAUUSD Trading Levels show gold currently trading around $4,348, extending its recovery after buyers stepped in around the $4,270 – $4,290 region. The rebound has strengthened across the M15 and H1 timeframes, with price forming higher lows and recovering above its short-term moving averages.

On the H4 chart, however, the recovery is approaching an important resistance area after the broader decline from the August highs. This leaves gold at a key decision point, where further upside depends on buyers successfully clearing nearby resistance.

Key Resistance Zone

Immediate resistance is located at $4,350 – $4,380, supported by:

  • Recent H4 price structure
  • Longer-term H4 moving average
  • Previous support-turned-resistance area

A breakout above this zone could lead to:

  • $4,410 – $4,445
  • $4,475 – $4,500

A sustained move above $4,445 would strengthen the recovery and could open the way toward $4,500.

Key Support Zone

Immediate support is seen at $4,320 – $4,300, where the latest intraday bullish move gained momentum.

A breakdown below this area would expose:

  • $4,285 – $4,270
  • $4,235 – $4,250

A sustained H4 move below $4,270 would weaken the current recovery and increase the risk of renewed bearish pressure.

XAUUSD Trading Levels: Expectations

Bullish Scenario (Primary)

If gold holds above $4,300, buyers may continue attempting to extend the current recovery.

A confirmed breakout above $4,380 could trigger:

  • A move toward $4,410 – $4,445
  • Extension toward $4,475 – $4,500

Short-term momentum currently supports the recovery, but confirmation above resistance remains important.

Bearish Scenario (Alternative)

Failure to break through $4,350 – $4,380 could allow sellers to regain short-term control.

This could result in:

  • A pullback toward $4,320 – $4,300
  • A deeper decline toward $4,285 – $4,270

A confirmed break below $4,270 would weaken the rebound and increase the probability of a move toward $4,250.

Outlook

Gold is recovering strongly on the lower timeframes, but the broader H4 and Daily picture remains more cautious as price approaches an important resistance area. The market is currently at a decision point, with $4,350 – $4,380 likely to determine whether the rebound can develop into a broader recovery.

A confirmed breakout above $4,380 would favor continuation toward $4,410 – $4,445, while rejection from resistance and a break below $4,300 could put the $4,270 support region back under pressure.
